Asthma

Asthma is the condition of spasms in the muscles around the bronchial tracts (airways in the lungs). This is also an inflammation of the lining of the lungs.

Some common symptoms of Asthma are:

  • Tightening of the chest
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Difficulty breathing

What you can do about asthma?

Some main areas to address are:

  • Hydration. Being at all dehydrated will tend to make this condition worse, as the lung linings are more susceptible to the common allergens when not fully hydrated.
  • Strengthen the lungs.
  • Become aware of foods and drinks that may be making the problem worse or triggering asthma attacks.
  • Become aware of and avoiding the triggers for an asthma attack.

This condition can also be influenced by seasonal changes. For a seasonal reaction, it is advised to commence a treatment plan well before the problem season occurs - this will provide the best chance for your body to get the full benefit of the treatment and prevent the next reaction from occurring.

Treatments for your Asthma

  • herbal medicines
  • dietary changes
  • dietary supplementation

Many people use or prefer to self administer some of the many available tablets or treatments. The problem with this approach is that you may be missing the triggers or wasting your money on products that aren't going to do much to help your condition. Diet and environmental factors play a large role in determining how much this condition will affect you and when properly addressed can make all the difference in the management of this condition.
